In a 3D animation produced by NASA, a model of a six-wheeled Mars rover turns slowly on a plain background, showing each side of the vehicle in turn.
The camera head at the top of its mast, the jointed robotic arm at the front and the power unit at the rear are all clearly visible, as is the wheel suspension designed to keep the rover stable on rough ground.
Models like this help engineers and students understand how spacecraft are put together.
