Ruins of a medieval stronghold seen from the air
Drone footage shows stone walls on a green hill, a manor house and the small town around them.
Reported by Niamh Gallagher
Aerial footage shows the stone remains of a medieval stronghold on a tree-fringed green hill, with the camera tracing the line of the old walls from above.
The shot then takes in a red-roofed manor house and its parkland at the foot of the hill; as the camera climbs, the town’s streets and distant fields stretch to the horizon.
Heritage specialists say regular maintenance and careful visitor management are key to preserving sites like this.
